When a friend asked Bob to assist in taking a vintage Michigan Ave. apartment and re-design it into a modern home for their growing family, Bob took the opportunity to “hang out his shingle” and started BOB BROBSON inc. to create a one-of-a kind design solution that incorporated modern materials in new applications for a timeless condominium renovation.  With the success of this project, additional projects followed ranging from single family gut remodels to new home designs, restaurants and office spaces.  Soon, clients began asking Bob to assist with the Project Management and stay on after completion of the design process to see the construction process through to the end.  

FORGE Builders emerged in 2009, where Bob added skilled carpenters and craftsman to his in-house staff and leveraged his long standing relationships with subcontractors to create custom teams of tradespeople to deliver highly-crafted, custom solutions to his clients.  

In 2014, FORGE Design + Build was branded to merge BOB BROBSON inc and FORGE Builders as an integrated architecture+design and construction team, proving that high quality custom design and construction with attention to detail and collaborative communication can happen under one roof.
